Lang Lang --- a young piano genius

　　他用极个人的方式颠覆着世界对古典音乐的理解，他被媒体称作是“将改变世界的年轻人”。他就是青年钢琴家--郎朗。

　　Lang Lang, 24 years old, born in ShenYang, China, has been called one of the greatest classical pianists of his generation. He just played at the 2006 Spring Festival Gala on CCTV. Lang Lang is more than just an extremely talented musician, and he is also a showman. If Lang Lang sounds a little dreamy, he often plays that way too, with his eyes closed, head back, cast in a musical state. He impressed the world with his splendid piano skills, exaggerated (夸张的) facial expressions and abundant hand gestures too. 

　　Lang Lang began his piano studies at the age of three. At 5, he won the Shenyang Piano Competition and gave his first public piano performance. At 9, he entered the China Central Music Conservatory (中央音乐学院), where he excelled. At 13, Lang Lang won the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians. At 15, he was accepted into the famous Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. At 17, he made a great breakthrough in his career at the famous Ravinia Festival (拉维尼亚音乐节) in America, and became a big sensation overnight! The Chicago Tribune hailed him as “the biggest, most exciting keyboard talent encountered in many years”.
